We took a leisurely drive across Southern Ontario to our final gig in London, On. We awed in splendor at the beuaty of our homeland. I was extremely happy to see the Menonites of Waterloo County.

Friday night in London was classic. We joined the Short 'n' Curlies onstage at The Last Drop. Carl's hometown friends came out to cheer us on. It was a nice finale to summer tour.

Upon looking at the accounting, we didn't do too bad economically this year. We drove a lot less, to a total of 12 000 km's. So, even though gas prices are extremely high in 2006, we spent less on gas. We ate a lot of ham sandwiches and slept all too often in tents, just as we did last year. Our coffee expense totalled $90.

Depending on how you run the numbers, you could say we made money. Enough to call 'a living'. If you subtract the money we could have made by staying home and working our regular jobs, we lost tens of thousands of dollars collectively. So be it.

That's the joy of music. It ain't about cash. It's about making people smile. One can't put a price on that. It's our Mona Lisa.

Leaving the last gig of tour.

I write this from highway 403, passing Hamilton, Ontario in the Dominion of Canada. This is the town in which the four of us met. We are home.
