Monday, July 31st, 2006 - Battleford, SK

Late in the evening we were blessed by the beauty of an exceptional Northern Lights. It was the second best Northern Lights most of us had ever scene. (see the 2004 roadlog of best Northern Lights ever!)

We were staying in a campground beside Fort Battleford between the North Saskatchewan and the Battle River. In the morning, we enjoyed an educational tour of the fort.

We are currently cruising toward Saskatoon. Because of the flat, flat prairie, we can see the sky last forever and ever. One can glimpse the thinness of the atmosphere over the curvature of the earth.

Big Sky Country.
