July 23, 2006 - Nelson, Kelowna and Vancouver, BC

Carl and Cindy went to Victoria to visit Carl's family.
Mim and Joe went to Kelowna to visit Joe's best friend Owen.
Myself, I stayed in Nelson with my Bruiser Barron. He owns an acre and a half of land that has a river running through it. We went sailing all day with some old friends. I used to snowboard with them years ago in Whistler. I must admit, 48 hours in Nelson can 'Hippify" a Toronto cat. I have been relieved of all my downtown corporate uptightness. I really love the deep mountain towns of BC.

I was lucky enough to catch a ride back into Big City Vancouver. Upon arrival, we found out our gig was cancelled. It was quite disconcerting to say the least. Jojo was able to quickly renegotiate a new gig. Mim and I had our third annual visit with Andrew Phelps and Kate Minnick in Vancouver.
