July 19th, 2006 - Bow Valley
We left the amenities of our Babylon campground in Cochrane, leaving behind the electricity and wi/fi internet. Mim’s gentleman tourguide recommended we hit up Bow Valley Provincial Park. Our new campground was located on an ice cold, fast flowing river. We were surrounded by the beauty of massive rocky mountains and the natural growth of evergreen trees.

Mim was off with her tourguide. Jojo found himself a trail dotted with information plaques about the ecology. Cindy hid from the bears in a tent.
Carl and I explored the rocky waters of the Bow River. We immersed ourselves for seconds at a time in the icecold water, causing our bodies to numb. When Carl got back, he realized he had cut his left foot and lost his big toenail on his right foot.
Carl and Cindy spent the evening in the Canmore hospital. Jojo and I built a fire beside the river and played old-school gangsta country music. When Carl and Cindy returned, we admired the infinity of stars on a cloudless night.
