July 11th - Minnesota
Well, we skipped out on the possible gig in Minneapolis. We’re booked for next year instead.
Osiris, our new mini-van, is the same make and model as Betsy-Ruth-Van, only he is 9 years newer. Betsy was a Ford Aerostar. Osiris is a Ford Windstar. In our first two tours with Betsy, we experienced a lot of scares with the transmission.

Mim gives thumbs-up, rolling through St. Paul and Minneapolis.
Again, with Osiris, our Windstar, we are having scares with the transmission! He’s burning fluid. As I write this, we are having it looked into in Fargo, North Dakota. Fingers crossed.
Carl and Cindy broke off from the pack and are currently staring at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. We won’t see them again until Thursday in Banff.

The rolling prairie hills of Minnesota.
Jojo, Mim and I made our second annual visit to Mim’s cousins' home. She’s got 10 cousins living in a small-town in Minnesota.
Last year, their thoughts were deeply fixed on their brother, who was off fighting in Iraq. This year after 11 and a half months in the desert, he is back safely. We got to see lots of his extremely moving photos from the frontlines of the war.
Does anyone remember playing ‘4-Square’ back in grade school? Well, we had a fierce but friendly bout of 4-square on the cousins' driveway. Great fun!
Our plan is to retire in Montana sometime tonight.
